Naturally high in fiber, Vitamin C, folate, potassium and antioxidants, strawberries are a sweet alternative that, according to current research, advances heart health, reduces the risk of certain types of cancer, and gives a boost to total body wellness. Additional research has concluded that strawberry eaters have higher blood folate levels and lower levels of homocysteine than non-strawberry eaters and tend to have lower blood pressure. Preliminary findings in new research indicate that strawberries may improve certain measures of cognitive function.
